Mohali is practically a part of Chandigarh. It is located at a distance of 5 Kms from Chandigarh. You can enjoy a number of entertainment centers and attractions in Mohali and its near by places. An Industrial Focal Point was carved out at Mohali in the year 1971-72 for the planned growth of industry. 	The Punjab Cricket Association Stadium at Mohali, on the outskirts of Chandigarh, is a truly world-class venue with excellent practice facilities, spectator-friendly outlook and sufficient provisions for the media. It was established in 1993. It is popularly referred to the Mohali Stadium.
	This twenty five acre site is one of the most visited places in India. It is full of objects built from household and industrial waste. Many of the statues, depicting all levels of Indian society and animal life, are coated in a mosaic of broken crockery, bangles, pebbles or iron foundry slag. The Rock Garden is now acknowledged as one of the modern wonders of the world.
	Containing more than a thousand varieties of roses, the garden is one of the largest in Asia. Fountains and bright lights enhance its beauty at night and provide a breath of fresh air to all who come to enjoy a walk and unwind. Rose festival celebrated here is visited by over 20,000 people. It's one of the great celebrations in the city.
	Sukhna Lake is an artificial reservoir in Chandigarh. A 2 Km. long promenade along the lakeshore is a popular place for strolling. In the morning & evening time, fitness buffs of all age groups can be seen walking, jogging, and performing yoga or vigorous exercises at the lakefront. The lake, incidentally, has Asia's longest water channel for rowing and yachting.
	Pinjore Gardens is 20 km from Chandigarh, on the Chandigarh Shimla road . It is also called Yadavindra Gardens. Pinjore lies on the foothills of the lower Shivalik ranges. A mini zoo, plants nursery, a Japanese garden, historic palaces, picnic lawns and guest house offer tourists great options for leisure in this small city around garden.
